Emergency Training For Veterinary Receptionists

Even when you hire someone with a certificate in veterinary receptionist training, it is still very important to invest in additional training for your front desk staff. They will need more training on industry-specific concerns including handling of emergencies and other crises that may arise while they are on duty. Emergencies are part and parcel of a veterinary facility. Being at the forefront, receptionists should be trained on the basics of handling emergency situations such as heat stroke, allergy reactions, respiratory problems, seizures, bleeding, etc. Emergency first aid can save a lot of pets from serious complications and even death. With proper training, your veterinary receptionist would be more confident in handling any emergency that is brought to the clinic. It would also be easier for your front desk staff to handle frantic pet owners whose pets need immediate veterinary attention.
